ULTRAGEL SO SUSPENSION contains SUCRALFATE & OXETHAZAINE as its active ingredients a combination of sucrose sulfate and aluminium hydroxide with a potent local anesthetic used in the treatment of Stomach And Bowel Ulcers, Inflammation Of The Stomach, Chronic Digestive Disease, Pain Associated With Swollen Vein Of Anus and other conditions. This combination is very unique because it works by forming a coat over the ulcer or any other raw surface along with blocking pain signals from the peripheral nerves to brain which decreases the sensation of pain. SUCRALFATE functions via multiple ways such as it has strong negative charge so it binds to the exposed positively charged proteins at the base of ulcers that coats the ulcer and make a physical barrier for the further protection from injury. It also directly inhibits the pepsin in the presence of stomach acid and also binds with the bile coming via liver as a result protects the stomach lining from injury caused by the bile acids. OXETHAZAINE functions by producing a reversible loss of sensation by preventing the conduction of sensory nerve impulses. It also increases the pH of stomach and neutralizes the gastric acid, which relieves the hyperacidity problems.

ADULT- Take 10 ml of measuring cap 4 times a day or as prescribed by physician.
