KETOROLAC TROMETHAMINE  0.4%

Pharmacology
Tolar Eye Drops, constitutes of a Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug, Ketorolac which persists anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity that enables the inhibitions of the Enzyme Cyclooxygenase, COX-1 & COX-2 associated with the inflammation and pain. The duo plays vital role in the production of Prostaglandins and Thromboxane from Arachidonic acid through a series of reactions. In turn promoting a series of Inflammatory actions like pain, itching, redness, discharges, Vasodilatation, Fibrin formation, increase vascular permeability, etc.
Indication and Usage
For treating Inflammation and Pain in Bacterial conjunctivitis, Seasonal & Allergic Conjunctivitis and Post Cataract Surgery.
Dosage and Administration
Allergic Conjunctivitis: Instill 1 Drop of TOLAR Eye Drops into the affected eye(s) Four times a day Post Operative: Instill 1 Drop of TOLAR Eye Drops twice a day beginning 24 hours prior to the Cataract Extraction or Refractive Surgery. Or as directed by the Eye Doctor depending upon the complexity of the disease.
Warning and Precaution
  • If irritation persists discontinue the usage and contact the physician.
  • For external use not for injection.
  • Discard the solution if becomes cloudy or changes color.
  • Avoidance of Contact Lens Wear
  • Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the constituent and patients currently being administered aspirin or any other NSAID.
Adverse Effect: Prolong use may cause headache, blurred vision, burning sensation.
