COMPOSITION-
CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE 500mg
Pharmacology
CFC-500 TABLET contains CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE equivalent to CIPROFLOXACIN as active ingredient which is a synthetic quinolone broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that is active against number of gram negative and gram positive bacteria used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria.
CIPOROFLOXACIN is a bactericidal functions by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV which may require in bacterial DNA synthesis process such as replication, transcription, repair, strand supercoiling repair, and recombination as a result bacterial cell division terminates.
Indication and Usage
CFC-500 is indicated to used in following conditions-
Eye and Ear Bacterial Infection
Infections of Bones and Joints,
Endocarditis,
Gastroenteritis,
Malignant Otitis Externa
Respiratory Tract Infections,
Cellulitis,
Urinary Tract Infections,
Prostatitis,
Anthrax,
Chancroid
Or as directed by the Specialist
Dosage and Administration
ADULT AND ELDERLY- Orally 500mg tablet twice a day.
Warning and Precaution
Before taking CFC-500 patient should take precautions if they have history of liver or kidney disease, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Also by prolong use of antibiotic may cause secondary infections as well as create resistance of that combination.
